Student Mobile Data Usage Policy

By providing URMANT with your mobile telephone number through our Student Portal you are deemed to have read and agreed to the following privacy notice and terms of use

1. Usage

1. The Student Notification SMS Service is provided by VBE Software Development (VBE Software) to actively enroled sixth form students at schools who hold a valid subscription to the URMANT UCAS Reference Management System.
2. Usage of the service is voluntary and at the discretion of the student, usage or non-usage of The Service will not affect the school's usage of the URMANT UCAS Reference Management System.
3. The Service will only be used to contact students about the status of their references within the URMANT system.
4. Students may opt out of The Service at an time by contacting VBE Support support on support@vbe-software.com . Opting out of The Service will not affect the student's references or other data held in the URMANT system not related to the SMS Student Notification Service.
5. The Service is made available free of charge to students through the school's URMANT subscription. Carrier charges may apply depending on your mobile phone network.

2. Privacy

1. In order to facilitate The Service the URMANT System will store, in addition to its normal data, the mobile number of students who provide it through the URMANT Student Portal (Mobile Data).
2. Mobile Data will only be stored for the length of the student's enrolment at their school, and may be removed at any time as described in 1.4
3. Mobile Data will only be shared with the SMS (Short Message Service) and Mobile Telephony providers (Mobile Providers) required to facilitate The Service.
   1. VBE Software reserve the right to change Mobile Providers without prior notice or warning
   2. Mobile Providers shall be bound by their own Data Usage and Terms of Service, which shall be made available on request by VBE Software
   3. VBE Software shall require its Mobile Providers to keep all Mobile Data secure
   4. VBE Software shall be indemnified against the mis-use of Mobile Data by its Mobile Providers
4. VBE Software shall, to the maximum extent permissable by law, not pass on any Mobile Data to any additional third parties, including Student's teachers and school administrators

3. Disclaimer

1. VBE Software will in no event be responsible for any direct, indirect, special or consequential loss or expense that may be attributable, directly or indirectly, to the use of The Service.
2. VBE Software will not be responsible for any interruption, delayed or failed transmission, loss of data, storage or delivery of information resulting from any cause.
3. All the information sent by us via SMS is provided without any representation or warranty whatsoever, whether express or implied. In particular, VBE Software makes no representation or warranties about the correctness of any information contained
